🌟 Divine Mercy Orphanage Volunteer Program The Divine Mercy Orphanage Volunteer Program, powered by Wisdom Care Foundation, is a community-driven initiative designed to bring love, care, and sustainable support to the children of Divine Mercy Orphanage Home, Plot 27, Zone 4, Area N, World Bank, Imo State. Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing environment where every child receives not only food and shelter, but also education, mentorship, health care, and emotional support through the dedicated efforts of volunteers and partners. 🎯 Program Objectives 1. Care & Support – Provide daily essentials like food, clothing, and hygiene materials. 2. Education & Mentorship – Organize tutoring, reading sessions, and life-skill training. 3. Health & Wellness – Facilitate medical checkups, counseling, and fitness activities. 4. Emotional Development – Build bonds through play, mentorship, and spiritual guidance. 5. Community Engagement – Connect donors, schools, businesses, and individuals to support the orphanage. 👥 Who Can Volunteer? Students, teachers, health workers, caregivers, professionals, and anyone passionate about helping children. Both regular volunteers (weekly/monthly support) and event-based volunteers (holidays, birthdays, Children’s Day, Christmas visits). 📅 Program Activities Monthly: Feeding programs, tutoring, and playtime visits. Quarterly: Health & wellness outreach, talent shows, educational workshops. Annually: Big celebrations such as Christmas parties, Children’s Day events, and back-to-school drives. 💡 How Volunteers Help Teaching and tutoring the children. Cooking and sharing meals. Donating clothes, books, and supplies. Organizing games, creative arts, and skill-building workshops. Fundraising and spreading awareness. 🌍 Impact By joining the program, volunteers and donors help ensure that every child at Divine Mercy Orphanage Home grows up with hope, education, and the opportunity for a better future.
1. Age Requirement Volunteers must be 18 years and above. Younger volunteers (16–17) may join only with parental/guardian consent and under supervision. 2. Orientation & Training New volunteers must attend a brief orientation session covering: Child protection rules Volunteer roles and responsibilities Code of conduct inside the orphanage 3. Code of Conduct No use of offensive language or inappropriate behavior. No photographs or videos of children without permission from the orphanage/organizers. Respect privacy and dignity of every child. No giving of personal contact information to children directly. 4. Health & Safety Volunteers should be in good health to interact with children. If offering medical help, proof of qualifications (nurse, doctor, pharmacist, etc.) is required. 8. Dress Code Modest, comfortable clothing suitable for working with children. Avoid flashy or distracting outfits. 9. Skills (Optional but Valuable) Teaching/tutoring, first aid, cooking, counseling, music, arts & crafts, sports, IT, etc.
